Hi, the Other Dave,
Still painting my Rat-men, but I’ve also been painting some EMP figures, but more importantly I’ve been painting some sprues.
The first sprue is ‘fairly’ new from Wargames Atlantic – 5th Regiment of Foot Grenadiers, a British regiment from their American War of Independance range. The sprue can build 5 figures; the models are simple to build with varied poses, if you dry fit everything first. It is a simple, nice little sprue.I obviously looked at the uniforms and then painted roughly ‘right’ as in white and red, but not historically right. Apologies for any offence caused, but I appear incapable of painting historically. I look at some pictures, I look at what colours I’ve got that roughly match and then paint.
The second sprue also from Wargames Atlantic, also from the American War of Independance, are the Minutemen. The sprue builds five figures, with various poses, which were easy to build as I dry fitted everything beforehand. As above a simple, nice little sprue.
Painting was various shades of brown; I did reference the historic images, but I was drawn more to the Fallout 4 images (I haven't played that game in a while). I don’t have many shades of brown, so a lot of mixing occurred.
Well for the observant amongst you, I only have 4 painted figures, this is because my Granddaughter has visited, and a figure went missing. I couldn’t find it and took the photos. I later found the figure in a nearby drawer with some unpainted Rat-men.
Thanks for getting this far, I am uncertain what is coming next, except I want to do some videos as well, so watch this space.
